On Sunday 7 June 2026, Capodacqua di Foligno hosts the Pale Hero Trail, a mountain running event organised by ASD Molon Labe in collaboration with the Associazione Capodacqua and the Pro Loco di Pale. Start and finish are at the Area Festival in via Capodacqua.

Two distances are on the programme. The Pale Hard Trail covers 22 km with 1,500 metres of positive elevation gain and is aimed at experienced trail runners; the race is valid for UTMB INDEX and ITRA points. The Pale Trail covers 15 km with 800 metres of elevation gain and is designed for those approaching the discipline or coming from road running; this distance also awards UTMB INDEX points.

Start times are set for 9:00 for the longer distance and 9:30 for the shorter one. The day before, Saturday 6 June, participants can collect their race bib and race pack at the registration desk, open from 14:00 to 18:30. The awards ceremony will take place in the festival area and will cover the top three absolute finishers, male and female, and the first in category for both races. A medal will be awarded to all finishers.

Available services include parking, aid stations along the route, medical assistance, athlete retrieval, baggage storage, showers and changing rooms. A post-race meal will be served in the festival area.
