Between Lake Trasimeno and the villages of Umbria, summer 2026. Moon in June returns, a festival that over the years has focused on songwriting music, performing arts, and the relationship with the landscape, presenting events in historically and naturally significant locations. The program takes place across multiple venues, including Isola Maggiore in Tuoro sul Trasimeno and the medieval fortress of Castiglione del Lago, combining concerts and performances. Following the spring preview at Teatro Morlacchi, the festival announces its first summer events. On July 18, Daniele Silvestri will perform at Isola Maggiore as part of the tour for his upcoming album “Canzoni a sdraio”. On July 30, the band Negrita will perform at the Rocca Medievale of Castiglione del Lago during their summer tour. The festival creates a meeting point between artists and audiences, highlighting the connection between music, territory, and historic sites.

Rocca di Passignano

The Fortress of Passignano rises within the village, slightly raised above the town that developed later along the lake shore. Passignano means literally “Place of the Step”. That probably refers to the existence of a Roman military structure that controlled the famous “Step”, a connecting road between the North and South of the peninsula.
