Lu santo jullare Francesco: Dario Fo tra arte e spiritualità
At Palazzo della Penna in Perugia, from September 24 to January 10, an exhibition is held dedicated to the work Lu santo jullare Francesco, featuring sketches, paintings, and visual scenarios focused on the figure of Saint Francis of Assisi as interpreted by Dario Fo. The exhibition is part of the commemorations for the eighth centenary of the Saint's death, highlighting the dialogue between Fo's artistic research, Umbrian traditions, and Franciscan culture. The exhibition itinerary includes previously unpublished photographs by Massimo Menghini, taken during the premiere of the show in Spoleto in 1999, and video installations featuring testimonies by Chiara Frugoni, Vincenzo Mollica, and Philippe Daverio. Through paintings and multimedia contributions, the exhibition explores the versatility of the Nobel laureate, documenting his deep bond with pictorial art and the regional territory.
