Once again, San Gemini, from 26 September to 11 October, will immerse itself in the atmosphere of the Giostra dell’Arme, now in its 53rd edition. For more than two weeks, the historic town will come alive with encounters, parades, sounds, colours and moments of competition, creating a journey that connects the present with the history and traditions of the local community.

Each edition of the Giostra is characterised by a theme that provides a common thread throughout the event. This year the focus will be “De l’Arme et de la Legge – Bellum, iustitia et militia”, exploring the relationship between arms, law, war, justice and military service. The theme will offer an opportunity to examine these subjects within the historical context evoked by the festival and to consider how rules, conflicts and military organisation contributed to shaping society at the time.
