Tuoro sul Trasimeno and Isola Maggiore host Giallo Trasimeno 2026 from 29 to 31 August, a festival dedicated to crime fiction, thrillers and mystery literature, bringing together writers, publishers and readers from across Italy.

The programme takes place at the Teatro dell’Accademia, Piazza del Rondò and venues on Isola Maggiore, featuring book presentations, author talks, award ceremonies and cultural activities promoting reading. The festival opens with the presentation of I delitti del Crocifisso by Andrea Vignini and Uccidi i ricchi by Sandrone Dazieri, together with the short story competition awards.

The following day includes the presentation of the IRA publishing series, its literary competition awards and meetings with Massimo Tivoli and Jacopo De Michelis. On the final day, events move between Tuoro sul Trasimeno and Isola Maggiore, offering poetry readings, book presentations and activities for children, including Caccia all’Indizio, an interactive mystery game designed to encourage reading.
