On 17, 18, 24 and 25 October, Melezzole (Montecchio) hosts the XXXIX Fiera della Castagna e dei prodotti tipici della montagna. The event offers four days dedicated to autumn flavours and local traditions, with roasted chestnut and local product tastings, food stands, chestnut-based dishes and entertainment in the village centre. The programme opens on Saturday 17 with a woodland walk and the opportunity to collect chestnuts, followed by lunch, tastings, entertainment, a meeting dedicated to the chestnut fair and a display of Ferrari cars along the village streets. On Sunday 18, food stands and the local tavern open, alongside an exhibition by local artisans and travelling performances. On Saturday 24, tastings and food return, together with children’s activities, a cooking show with Paolo Trippini, the La Castagna d’Argento award ceremony and an autumn-themed dinner. On Sunday 25, the fair continues with food stands, crafts, roasted chestnuts, travelling performances and a cooking show with Luca Pappagallo. A free continuous shuttle service is also available from the parking areas to the fair centre.
