From 31 October to 5 November, Perugia hosts the Fiera dei Morti, one of the city's long-standing autumn traditions. The event begins on Saturday 31 October with a preview day in the historic centre, along Corso Vannucci, Piazza Matteotti, Via Mazzini and Piazza Italia, and continues from 1 to 5 November both in the city centre and at Pian di Massiano, in Piazzale Umbria Jazz. Over six days, the market welcomes exhibitors from various Italian regions and abroad, offering a selection of artistic, local and international crafts, decorative objects, clothing, plants and flowers. Food and gastronomy also play an important role, with a range of traditional products and regional specialities from across Italy. The fair in the historic centre also provides an opportunity to discover the traditions of Perugia's twin cities, with exhibitors from Aix-en-Provence, Tübingen, Potsdam, Bratislava, Seattle and Grand Rapids presenting traditional handicrafts and culinary specialities from their respective regions.
