Festa delle Storie 2026
From 18 to 20 September, Assisi hosts Festa delle Storie, a storytelling festival for children, young people, families and audiences of all ages. For three days, squares, alleys, gardens and historic sites, from the Rocca and the Roman Forum to the Crypt of San Rufino, Monte Frumentario and the Bosco di San Francesco, become settings for stories and shared activities. The programme includes stories that are read, told, sung, danced, drawn and performed, together with travelling shows and theatre for young audiences, creative and music workshops, literary walks, book presentations and meetings with authors and illustrators. Training sessions for teachers and cultural professionals are also scheduled. The programme also includes the award ceremony for the national competition “A Library in Every School”.
