From 26 April to 19 July 2026, Umbria hosts the 11th edition of the Festa dei Boschi (Forest Festival), a series of events spread across the region with stops in 12 municipalities: Amelia, Assisi, Bastia Umbra, Corciano, Foligno, Gubbio, Marsciano, Perugia, Pietralunga-Montone, Piegaro, Porano and Spello.

The programme takes place every Sunday in a different location — across parks, forests and ecomuseums — with a wide-ranging offer for all audiences: guided walks, scientific and creative workshops, activities for children and families, sensory experiences, night-time hikes, talks on biodiversity, and moments of wellbeing in nature. The 2026 edition is distinguished by an experiential approach that combines the naturalistic with the cultural: from the sounds of the forest to technologies for ecosystem observation, from family trails to themes of forest sustainability.

Stops include, among others, the Bosco San Francesco in Assisi, the Parco di Colfiorito in Foligno, the Bosco Santa Cristina in Gubbio, the Foresta di Pietralunga, and the Boschi Sereni-Torricella in Marsciano. Most activities are free of charge, with mandatory booking required for some events.
