Cavalcata di Satriano 2026

Between Nocera Umbra and Assisi, on 6 September, the 47th Cavalcata di Satriano takes place in a special edition marking the 8th Centenary of Saint Francis. The event commemorates the journey made by the Knights of Satriano during the final days of the Saint’s life, when Francis was escorted from Nocera Umbra to Assisi.

The route focuses on the event’s historical and religious character and passes through places connected with Franciscan memory. This edition will also feature mounted units from the State Police, Penitentiary Police, Carabinieri, Forestry Carabinieri and the Lancieri di Montebello regiment, joining the riders throughout the day.

Participants will gather in the morning in Nocera Umbra, where the ride begins. After several stages along the route, the cavalcade will arrive in Assisi, in Piazza Santa Chiara, where a closing ceremony and the blessing of the riders will take place.
