Amelia Musei – May 2026
From 2 May to 1 June 2026, Amelia Musei presents a series of events across the Amelia's main cultural sites — the Civic Archaeological Museum, the Roman Cisterns and Palazzo Petrignani — spanning music, urban exploration and family activities.
On 2 May, the programme opens with the series Metamorphoses of Sound and Listening Practices, curated by Hanna M. Civico, singer and performer. At 4:00 pm at Palazzo Petrignani, the Variations on Listening workshop offers a guided experience exploring the relationship between body, sound and space, open to artists, musicians and anyone with an interest in the theme. At 7:00 pm and 7:45 pm in the Roman Cisterns, the site-specific vocal concert Nettuno takes the stage, weaving improvisations, dissolves and the resonances of the underground space. The series closes on 1 June with aveliquor, again in the Roman Cisterns: songs from the ancient Mediterranean and sonic drifts in a space that becomes a place of memory and deep listening.
On 3 May, The Secret of Water begins — a free family trail inviting children and adults to discover the history of Amelia across three landmark sites, guided by the character of the heron Rio. On 10 May, the programme continues with Urban Trekking & Yoga: a guided walk through the town's historic sites followed by a yoga session in the halls of Palazzo Petrignani.
