Natale a Deruta 2025
In Deruta, from 6 December 2025 to 4 January 2026, Christmas in Deruta returns with a programme of events that brings museums, squares and local hamlets to life through initiatives dedicated to ceramics, music and community traditions. The calendar opens at the Regional Museum of Ceramics with the workshop “Manipolare ad arte”, followed on 7 December by a performance by the Cameristi of the Umbrian Regional Youth Orchestra, bringing classical music to the museum.
On 8 December, activities move to Piazza dei Consoli, where the Christmas market runs throughout the day and accompanies the lighting of the world’s largest ceramic Christmas tree. The children’s choir of the Deruta Parish, the “Girolamo Diruta” Choir and workshops for children help create a welcoming festive atmosphere.
On 14 December Christmas comes to the hamlet of Borgo Garibaldi with another market, while on 20 December the Church of San Francesco hosts the concert of the “Girolamo Diruta” Choir. On 4 January, in Piazza dei Consoli, the living Nativity scene organised by the Deruta Parish brings the main programme to a close.
Several initiatives remain open throughout the festive season: at the Antica Fornace Grazia, the exhibition “Ceramics and Women. How women became protagonists” can be visited until 31 January 2026, while the Nativity Scenes in Shop Windows are displayed in ceramic workshops and local businesses until 12 January. In Sant’Angelo di Celle, from 8 December to 7 January, visitors can see the Nativity scene set up at the old wash house.
