Trasimeno Book's Island
Literary salons with authors and writers, music and art: until the 18th September the Isola Maggiore and Passignano sul Trasimeno are hosting the fourth edition of the Trasimeno Book's Island.
The festival, devoted to the promotion of reading, focuses this year on the topics linked to the many aspects of the opposition between friend and enemy, namely the conflict and the dialectic relationships, through reflections among economy, history and philosophy.
Among the several guests present: Piercamillo Davigo, Giovanni Fasanella, Andrea Tornielli, Zahi Hawass and the Minister of Cultural Heritage Dario Franceschini are just some of the names that will alternate on the stage.
The "Book's White Night" will be one of the new features: on Sunday 14th August streets and squares are going to welcome authors, actors, poets and music.
During the festival, besides, two literary prizes will be delivered : «Raccontami l'Umbria in un libro» (Tell me Umbria in a book) and «Magister – Isola del Libro Adaci» (Magister – Adaci Book's Island).
