Steve McCurry – Umbria 2025
From 4 December 2025 to 3 May 2026, the San Francesco Museum Complex in Montefalco hosts the exhibition “Steve McCurry – Umbria”. On display are 60 photographs, many of them previously unseen, through which Steve McCurry, one of the world’s most renowned photographers, portrays Umbria with his distinctive narrative and emotional gaze.
Over ten years after his first exhibition dedicated to the region, McCurry returns with a project that brings together his most iconic images and a selection of new works. The exhibition presents a visual journey through places, people, and landscapes, reflecting the deep bond between the photographer and this land.
The itinerary spans Montefalco, Gubbio, Bevagna, Assisi, Perugia, Spoleto, Trevi, and other Umbrian towns, offering an authentic and intimate portrait of the region, balanced between documentation and poetry.
The opening will take place on Wednesday 3 December 2025 at 5:30 p.m.. The ticket includes access to the San Francesco Museum Complex and can also be purchased online.
