The 41th edition of the Festa dei Barbari, a historical re-enactment featuring dinners, historical processions, war simulations, barbarian encampments and other shows, will be held from 30 July to 3 August 2025 in Castel Rigone (Passignano sul Trasimeno).

The event will include duels with swords and axes in the streets of the village, in which warriors will maneuver through the crowd in scenes of everyday life, and then escalate into actual fighting in the open square with hand-to-hand duels, until the crowd decides the winner.

Castel Rigone will thus be transformed into a barbarian village within its historical walls, thanks to the teeming activities of masters and merchants. 

In the streets it will also be possible to listen to the melodies of the Musici Tonanti and watch spectacular fire games.
