Vallo di Nera, in the heart of the Valnerina Valley, will host the 21st edition of Fior di Cacio on Saturday 14 and Sunday 15 June 2025. The event is a market exhibition dedicated to artisanal cheese production and typical Umbrian flavours. Created to enhance the value of the ancient craft of shepherding, deeply rooted in the rural and cultural fabric of the area, Fior di Cacio has become a regular appointment for those wishing to rediscover the authenticity and quality of Umbrian mountain products.

Set in a landscape of lush greenery and striking medieval architecture, the streets and squares of the village will come alive with stalls offering tastings and sales of artisanal cheeses, including barrel-aged pecorino, raw milk primo sale, fresh goat cheese and the salted ricotta of Valnerina. Alongside the cheeses, visitors can also enjoy other Umbrian food and wine specialities, such as traditional cured meats, truffles, saffron, legumes, jams, local wines, and artisanal crafts.
