In Gualdo Tadino, from April 24th to May 4th, the Festa del Maggio di San Pellegrino will take place, a celebration rich in centuries-old traditions. The event will begin on Thursday, April 24th, with a briscola tournament and blessing games. On Friday, April 25th, there will be Holy Mass and the blessing of the Poplars, followed by "Fame da Lupi!", a pilgrim's lunch offered to participants upon reservation. Saturday, April 26th, will feature a dinner with local products. On Sunday, April 27th, the lighting of the small "Maggio" pole will take place with activities and games for children in the afternoon. On Tuesday, April 29th, a torchlight procession will follow the path of Saint Pellegrino with a short theatrical performance. On Wednesday, April 30th, after Holy Mass and the blessing of the "Maggio" poles, the food stand will open, awaiting the arrival of the Maggiaioli and the spectacular raising of the "Maggio" pole, accompanied by fireworks. Thursday, May 1st, will be dedicated to the art of woodworking and guided tours of the churches of San Pellegrino, concluding with a Sanpellegrino dinner upon reservation. The festival will conclude on Sunday, May 4th, with the Granfondo San Pellegrino, an amateur cycling race.
