Poster of Connecting the Dots in Orvieto

Connecting the Dots 2025

From 17 October to 22 November 2025Galleria GIO in Orvieto presents Jan Tandrevold’s solo exhibition “Connecting the Dots. Paintings from Ireland, Italy and Jerusalem”, open to the public free of charge from Friday to Sunday, 5–7 p.m.

The exhibition brings together a selection of works marking Tandrevold’s return to figurative and landscape painting. In his art, the landscape becomes a way of connecting the dots of a personal geography stretching from Ireland to central Italy and Jerusalem, in a continuous dialogue between light, space, and memory.

Painted en plein air, these works explore the endless variations of colour and atmosphere, tracing shifting horizons where the artist engages directly with natural elements.

For Tandrevold, Italy represents an intermediate space between the green coasts of Ireland and the bright light of the Middle East. What links these places is the sky, a recurring motif in his work and a symbol of connection between distant landscapes.
