From 1 to 19 August 2025, Montefalco celebrates summer with Agosto Montefalchese, a festival that combines music, tradition, culture and food and wine. The programme fills the town every evening with concerts, historical pageants, performances and guided tours in its most scenic locations, including Piazza del Comune and the San Francesco Museum Complex.

The event opens with the Renaissance Banquet, followed by performances ranging from opera to jazz and rock tributes. Highlights include a tribute to Maria Callas, a concert in honour of Fabrizio De André, the Night of the Starswith guided wine tastings, and the spectacular Corsa dei Bovi, which concludes the re-enactment on 19 August.

Also featured are contemporary art exhibitions, a tour of the Museum of Sagrantino, the display of the Triptych of Santa Chiara and the educational activity “Occhio a Benozzo” to explore local artistic heritage.

Throughout the festival, the town’s taverns welcome visitors and locals with traditional dishes in a warm and festive atmosphere.
