1st day

Arrival at Borgo San Faustino, an ancient estate on the hills of Orvieto close to Monte Peglia. Visit of the estate, farm and ancient cellars, welcome tasting of production wines, Orvieto Classico DOC and IGT in combination with local products. Accommodation in a standard room, dinner and overnight.

2nd day

Breakfast at the hotel. Departure for Orvieto, a wonderful city perched on a cliff of tufa. Visit to the San Patrizio's Well, an engineering masterpiece created by Antonio da Sangallo the Younger in the 16th century to provide water to the city in the event of a disaster. Continue to the medieval quarter, entrance to the hypogeum rooms of the "Pozzo della Cava", visit of the caves that include Etruscan tombs, cisterns and cellars. Light lunch with tasting of 3 wines, cold cuts, bruschetta, crostini, dry pastries and dessert wine. Walk through the streets of the old town to the Cathedral of Romanesque origin: inside the Chapel of San Brizio you can admire the prestigious frescoes by Luca Signorelli, Benozzo Gozzoli and Beato Angelico. Return to the village, dinner and overnight.

3rd day

Breakfast at the hotel. Meeting with the guide for speleological excursion to "Pozzi della Piana"*. The excursion begins with a visit to the medieval village of Titignano, which offers a magnificent view of Lake Corbara. Continue to the countryside until the entrance of the vast underground system: through a "natural slide" you will enter a system of caves of tectonic origin for a journey of about 3 hours. At the end of the excursion return to Borgo San Faustino. Entry to the wellness center lasting one hour and the possibility of relaxing treatments. Dinner and overnight.

4th day

Breakfast at the hotel and check-out. Departure for Valnerina, the narrow gorge of the Nera River. Entrance to the Marmore Falls Park, the highest in Europe, surrounded by lush nature. Trekking along the paths of the park to admire the jump from different angles. Continue to the Piediluco Lake, a basin set among the hills formed by the entrance of the river Velino, which, not far away, meets the Nera river in the famous jump. Lunch overlooking the lake based on local specialties. In the afternoon sightseeing by boat with photo stops.

*PLEASE NOTE: the speleological excursion is guaranteed for a minimum of 5 people. In case of failure to reach the minimum number, an alternative activity will be proposed or a cost adjustment requested.The order of activities and visits could be changed.
