Partiremo da Foligno seguendo il percorso del fiume Topino per poi deviare verso il Lago Aiso. Da qui ripartenza verso Bevagna per visitare uno dei borghi più belli d’Italia e per un pranzo leggero, poi rientro a Foligno. Anche il percorso odierno è molto semplice; solo pianura con qualche breve salita e discesa di tanto in tanto. Pranzo leggero a Bevagna, nel pomeriggio rientro a Foligno, cena e pernottamento in Hotel.

FOLIGNO–MONTEFALCO 34.3 km – ELEVATION GAIN: 562 m – DESCENT: 323 m, 50% dirt track, 50% tarmac.

The tour starts at 9.00 am. Today’s tour has a difficulty rating of 4 on a scale of 0 to 10. We will set off from Foligno and, passing through the typical agricultural landscape of the Umbrian Valley, we will reach the Sanctuary of the Madonna della Stella. From here, the climb towards Montefalco begins – a town renowned for its art and the home of Sagrantino, a red wine now famous throughout the world. A light lunch and a tasting of Montefalco wines will take place at the Le Cimate Winery. Today’s route is completely flat up to the Sanctuary of the Madonna della Stella. The climb to Montefalco is approximately 8 km long and is steady, with no sudden inclines and gradients consistently around 5–6 per cent, except for two sections of around 200 m at 9–10 per cent. Arrival in Montefalco and check-in at the hotel. The afternoon is free to explore the town or relax. Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.

MONTEFALCO–CANNARA–SPELLO–ASSISI 39.5 km – ELEVATION GAIN: 544 m uphill – 614 m downhill, 35% gravel, 65% tarmac.

The tour sets off at 8.00 am. Today’s tour has a difficulty rating of 5 on a scale of 0 to 10. We’ll set off from Montefalco, descending gradually along roads offering stunning views. We’ll then continue cycling on flat terrain to Cannara and, in particular, to Piandarca, where, according to tradition, St Francis of Assisi delivered his Sermon to the Birds. From here, we’ll cycle on flat terrain all the way to Spello, an important town of Roman origin rich in archaeological finds and evidence of a glorious past. A light lunch and wine tasting at a winery. From here, the climb towards Assisi begins (6 km with gradients never exceeding 10 per cent). Today’s route is of medium difficulty; a descent from Montefalco to the plain, then on flat terrain all the way to Spello via Cannara and Piandarca. Then the climb towards Assisi. Arrival in Assisi and check-in at the hotel. In the afternoon, a guided tour of the town. Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.
