Day 1 - SPOLETO - SPELLO

Arrival in Spoleto and meeting with the guide. The Roman past of the city is visible above all in the theatre and in the remains of the ancient forum, which is still an integral part of everyday life in Spoleto. Spoleto is known all over the world for its spectacular Piazza Duomo, one of the venues of the famous Festival of Two Worlds and for the imposing Rocca Albornoziana fortress which, together with Ponte delle Torri (bridge of the towers, resembling an ancient aqueduct), are among the most interesting monuments in Umbria. After lunch at the restaurant, transfer to Spello, with its splendid frescoes by Pinturicchio in the Baglioni Chapel, and the Giottoesque crucifix at the church of Sant'Andrea. Transfer to the hotel for dinner and overnight

Day 2 - GUBBIO - PERUGIA

Breakfast in hotel and meeting with the guide in Gubbio at Piazza 40 Martiri. Guided tour of the town known as the stone city. The walk will take us to the heart of the atmosphere of the free Umbrian municipalities, with its squares, cathedrals and imposing noble towers. Gubbio, after having been a centre of the pre-Roman Umbri people and then a Roman town, was an important mercantile centre that established itself between 1200 and 1300 for the commerce of wool cloth. The prosperity of that time has left its mark on the monumentality of the historic centre, which, intact, seems to have fallen asleep in the communal era. Lunch in a restaurant in the historic centre of Gubbio, in the afternoon transfer to Perugia. Hidden by the crown of its hills, many still haven’t discovered the beauty of Perugia. The guided tour includes a walk along its Etruscan city walls, the fascinating symbolism of the Fountain of Nicola and Giovanni Pisano and the underground walls of Rocca Paolina with stories of the salt war in the underground Rocca Paolina. The city is also known as an ancient university seat and in fact combines its elegant ancient beauty with a sparkling youthful spirit due to the students of its prestigious University and its many cultural events, from Umbria Jazz to the popular Eurochocolate festival. Transfer to the hotel for dinner and overnight.

Day 3 - S.M. DEGLI ANGELI – ASSISI - TREVI

Breakfast in the hotel e and departure for Assisi. The town stretches along the ridge of a hill and the warm pink colour of its stones stands out on the green of Monte Subasio. Known above all for its famous son St. Francis, the poor man who gave life to the Franciscan Order, it was also inhabited by the ancient Umbri and then later by the Romans. Lunch in a restaurant in Santa Maria degli Angeli. After lunch, transfer to Trevi, one of the most beautiful villages in Umbria, perched overlooking the wide scenic valley. After visiting Trevi, transfer to an oil mill to taste extra virgin olive oil. Return to hotel, dinner and overnight.
