In Castelnuovo di Assisi, on 16 May 2026, as part of Assisi Estate 2026, the Corsa dello Scopetto takes place, a 7 km running event accompanied by a non-competitive walking route, organised by the Pro Loco of Castel Nuovo di Assisi on the occasion of the annual feast of Saint Paschal.

The event is set within an open community framework, offering a route that crosses the local area and highlights its connection with tradition. The name of the initiative refers to the historical production of “scopetti,” a local craft that has contributed to the recognition of Castelnuovo di Assisi beyond its immediate territory.
