The notes of Umbria Jazz Winter are ready to warm up Orvieto's winter, with great music performed at the "Città della Rupe"‘s most enchanting locations.

From the 30th December 2015 to the 3rd January 2016 the Duomo, Teatro Macinelli, Palazzo del Capitano del Popolo, Palazzo dei Sette and the Museo Emilio Greco will be hosting the many concerts and musicians for the twenty-third edition of UJW.

Five days when blues, jazz and soul music will be filling the streets and alleyways of the town's historic centre at every hour of the day until late at night.

This year's programme will take you on a journey of music, emotions and entertainment.

Kurt Elling will be paying tribute to "The Voice", on the occasion of the centenary celebrations of Frank Sinatra's birth, whilst improvisation and creativity combine thanks to Lewis Nash on the drums and Steve Wilson on the alto sax.

Italian musicians will also be bringing their music to Orvieto with original and eclectic proposals: Paolo Fresu, Daniele Di Bonaventura, Rosario Giuliani, Fabrizio Bosso, Enzo Pietropaoli, Marcello Di Leonardo, as well as Danilo Rea and his piano.

Instead, it's the first time at Umbria Jazz for the group Dirotta su Cuba, who are celebrating the twenty years since their album, which took them to the top of the charts in 1995, came out, with a tour.  Also making their Umbria Jazz debut are Camera Soul, a group with a bossa-jazz and soul-funk sound.

There is also Larry Franco's swing music, the jazz vocalist Allan Harris and gospel music from Light of Love Gospel Singers to enjoy: a real musical kaleidoscope, with both new and now familiar appointments, to bring 2015 to an end and welcome in 2016 to the rhythm of jazz.
