Following the interest of the public and critics during the experimental edition of 2018, Amelia is going to launch, from 20th April 2019, the first edition of the Festival of Contemporary Art "PATHS", with the theme A.C.G.T.: the succession of letters represent the primary structure of a DNA molecule.

A.C.G.T. - Adenine, Cytosine, Guanine and Thymine - the primary structure of the DNA molecule, alphabet of life, is the ordered series of all the signs available to life for its varied poetic expressions. It is the Path lived and retraced by life, the interweaving of traces furrowed and marked by the passage of missed encounters.

The Festival aims to bring contemporary art in the timeless setting of the Umbrian city where A.C.G.T. becomes a spatial dimension, occupying the entire historic centre through the intervention of emerging artists, for a month, until Sunday 19th May, in the U.S. territory, where the "Silk Road" and the "Via Francigena" have met tracing a path from visible stars.

It's an exhibition made to imagine the stages of a visual and symbolic journey that unites, touching them, the memory and the metaphor of distant journeys, between east and west.

The artists, some of whom coming from China, will take part in the initiative with paintings, photographs, videos and installations located in unusual places, including the underground complex of Roman cisterns, ancient noble palaces and abandoned places in the historic centre.

The exhibition will be open on weekends from 11 am to 7 pm:

20th, 21st and 22nd April

27th and 28th April

1st May 4th and 5th May

11th and 12th May 18th and 19th May

(Special openings will be possible upon reservation at +39 335 7077948/+39 3487595963).

Admission is free, for a visit to the works of "A.C.G.T. PATHS". Inside the Roman Cisterns it will be possible to take advantage of reduced entrance tickets by asking for a reduction at the point of sale.
