Exhibition of handmade nativity scenes and figurative arts - 20th edition. 
When
: 15 December to 6 January 2019 (closed on 25th, 26th December and 1st January)
Where: Terni, Conference Hall Chamber of Commerce, 3.30 - 7 pm
Nativity scenes made of wrought iron, wax, fabric, cardboard, wool, wood, etc.
The exhibition is also going to display about 30 paintings made by local artists.

 

Itinerant exhibition of wrought iron cribs

Where: Terni, historical centre
The cribs are going to be displayed in the shop-windows of pastry shops and clothing stores in the historical centre.

Cribs in the city

Where: Terni
Some of the "symbolic" places of Terni (Prefecture, Police Headquarters, Town Hall, Library, Hospital, Station) are going to host a traditional crib in their headquarters.
The District House gave the opportunity to carry out a course at its headquarters for the creation of various cribs.

 

Cribs in the shop-windows

Where: Terni
About forty shops are going to host some compositions, including dioramas and open nativity scenes, made by members of the Association "Tempus Vitae". It is an evocative itinerary through the streets and squares of the city.

Along the streets of the village, you will be able to admire various artistic nativity scenes located in the points of greatest visibility.

 

Permanent artistic nativity scene

Where: Piediluco, Church of St. Francis
Illuminated artistic nativity scene, with 50 cm-high statues.

 

Permanent exhibition of handcrafted nativity scenes

: Saturday from 3 to 6 pm; Sunday and public holidays from 11 am to 1 pm / 3 to 6 pm. 
Where: Calvi dell'Umbria, Town Hall - inside the Ursulines' Museum (entrance from 2, Via D.Radici)
16 cribs in Neapolitan, Sicilian and Roman style, made by local artisans

 

Living nativity scene
When
: 25th December, 1st and 6th January, from 6 p.m.
Where: Calvi dell'Umbria, Bufalari - hamlet of Santa Maria della Neve
One of the first living nativity scenes in Umbria, with more than 100 participants who give life to the representations of the nativity in a setting of great beauty. The manger is placed at the foot of a mountain that frames the entire representation.

 

 

Monumental artistic nativity scene

: on Saturday from 3 to 6 pm; on Sunday and public holidays from 11 am to 1 pm / 3 pm to 6 pm

Where: Calvi dell'Umbria, Church of S.Antonio - P.zza G.Mazzini
Artistic nativity scene from 1545 composed of more than thirty life-size statues in terracotta, painted with glass paint. It is an artwork of the brothers Giacomo and Raffaele from Montereale.
The crib can only be visited with an entrance ticket to the Ursuline Museum.
The cost of the ticket (5 euros, reduced 3 euros), includes the guided tour.

Visit to the artistic nativity scenes along the Ferentillo - Nicciano hiking trail.

Artistic nativity scene
When

Where: Ferentillo, Church of S.Maria - L.go F.Miselli
Multi-stage animated artistic nativity scene, with narration of the Gospel of Luke's passages concerning the nativity. The scenes are highlighted by effects of light, smoke and movement. The crib won the tenth edition of the national competition "Presepium Italie".

 

Artistic nativity scene
When
: from 24th December to 31st January 2019
Where: Montefranco, Parish of Santa Maria Assunta - 13, Via A. Saffi
Mechanical nativity scene made by Master watchmaker Giuseppe Romani. The crib has a perspective that through a play of mirrors creates a depth of 50-60 meters.
There are also special effects such as day, night, snow and acoustic effects. All the figures are animated by mechanical movements that reproduce the activities and crafts of the past.

 

Artistic nativity scene

Where: Narni, Church of S. Francis
This nativity scene is made with human-height statues and consists of about 20 pieces, including characters and animals. Some statues are made by hand.

The nativity scene is set up with life-size wooden statues, created by the Professional Training Centre

Where: Narni, Borgo di Itieli
Handmade nativity scene that reproduces places of interest in the territory of Terni such as the Marmore Waterfall, the Franciscan Cave of Narni, the small village of Itieli, with moving characters and special effects.

 

Living nativity scene - 15th edition
When
: on 30th December
Where: Narni, San Vito
The crib takes place along the streets of the medieval village of San Vito in Narni. The totality of the costumes is composed of children and young people. Attention has been paid to the details of the layout of the stations, of the trades and in the creation of the costumes. The nativity is represented in a suggestive natural cave and the Child Jesus is always represented by the last infant of the village. 

 

Exhibition of artistic and traditional nativity scenes
When
: from 8 December to 6 January 2019
Where: San Gemini, in the historical centre and in the churches of the Village
Nativity scenes made by the Crib Committee in collaboration with citizens and schools with materials and techniques of various kinds. Particularly interesting is the "Crib in the village" set up in the centre of the Church of St. John the Baptist, a crib of about 35 square meters that reproduces the places of San Gemini, its history and traditions over the years and it is completely handmade.
