Situated in Avigliano Umbro, the Church of the Santissima Trinità is the parish church of the village. In the XVII century it was built as an integral part of the castle of the Vici family . The bishop of Todi Rodolfo consecrated the altar, as stated in a document.
In the following centuries it was completely restored and unfortunately this restoration impoverished the pictorial decoration of the building. Infact, during the restoration many walls were whitewashed, and this caused the loss of many frescoes inside the church.
However, a lot of works remained like the valuable Madonna of the Rosary of St. John the Evangelist, St. Dominic, St. Catherine and St. Cecilia by Andrea Polinori. Some other frescoes remained depicting saints including Sant'Antonio Abate and a Conversione di San Paolo attributed to Bartholomeo Barbiani of Montepulciano and a Madonna with Saints between Sant'Anthony of Padua and Santa Barbara of XVII century.
Inside the church valuable they are a silver and enamel cross of the XIV century and two paintings depicting the Deposizione and San Lorenzo by Polinori,
