Arrival in Umbria and accommodation at the Hotel.

Gubbio is one of the oldest Umbrian cities. Here you can breathe history from every stone and many are the traces of its glorious past: the Roman Theater of the first century AD, the Basilica of Sant'Ubaldo which overlooks the city and houses the remains of the saint, patron of Gubbio, the Gothic cathedral, the Church of Santa Maria Nuova which houses the fresco "The Madonna of the Belvedere" by Ottaviano Nelli, master painter and miniaturist who owes his birth to Gubbio. Guided visit of Gubbio of 2 hours and a half circa. 

You cannot visit Umbria without enjoying its food and wine delights. The viticulture of our region has its origins at the time of the Etruscans and the ancient people of the Umbrians, who exploited the excellent predisposition of the soil to agriculture and the advantageous climatic conditions to grape vine cultivation.After the guided tour of Gubbio, we will reach a renowned winery for lunch and tasting some local specialties…Buon appetito!

In the morning you will live an authentic experience of great emotional impact, one of the most exciting activities to experience in Umbria that can be shared with your family or friends. Accompanied by our expert instructors, who will lead you in complete safety, you will be enchanted by the beauty of the surrounding landscapes and the wonderful colors and sounds around the Valnerina Valley. The necessary equipment is provided, and changing rooms with hot showers await you at the end of the descent. Afterwards, we will head to an Umbrian traditional restaurant in which you will have a delicious lunch (wild game menu). Rafting adventure can be chosen as an alternative for kayak ride on the river.

A few kilometers away from the restaurant, you will be able to reach the Marmore Waterfalls which, with its 165 meters divided into 3 jumps, is the highest in Europe. You will have enough time to independently visit the paths of the waterfalls, buy some souvenirs, and above all, take photos and selfies to take the extraordinary beauty of this place with you. Orvieto is an ancient city with Etruscan origins that dominates the valley of the river Paglia from the top of the tuff cliff on which it stands. A beautiful place to visit with a unique history dating back to million years ago. In the morning, we will take a stroll around Orvieto old town, and we will visit the majestic Cattedrale of Santa Maria Assunta, best known as the “Duomo”, a magnificent masterpiece of Gothic and Romanesque architecture, one of the most important in Europe. Another symbol of the city itself, steps from a breathtaking belvedere, is St. Patrick’s Well, a spectacular engineering work of the 16th century which you can even climb! At the end, delicious typical Umbrian lunch at local restaurant.

After lunch, we will have the guided visit to Orvieto Underground and we will discover the city under a city. The guided tour of Underground Orvieto represents the most appropriate tool to get in touch with this very particular cultural aspect of a city very rich in history and artistic jewels. Step by step, mysterious and fascinating echoes speak of the Etruscan Velzna, while ghosts of the medieval and Renaissance city transpire from the humid shadow. Where the tortuous underground path runs parallel to the cliff, from panoramic openings the day contends in the dark with a succession of tunnels, stairs, unexpected passages and overlapping rooms.

Pax et Bonum – meaning “Peace and Goodness” – is the greeting with which Assisi welcomes you, the Franciscan place par excellence, not only in Umbria and Italy, but throughout the world. Accompanied by our guide, you will have a walk through Assisi's enchanting alleys and you will visit the Franciscan places. Audio guide available for rent inside the Basilica of San Francesco. Lunch in terrace of a wonderful restaurant with view of Assisi at the end of the visit.

In the afternoon, we will have an exciting experience, we will visit the nature that surrounds Assisi and Mount Subasio by quad. Driving a Quad surrounded by greenery is a truly incredible experience! Few can resist the temptation to return, after having tried it only once. The excursion develops along a nature trail that can be covered in about 1 hour and a half, with a pleasant stop inside the San Francesco wood (Bosco di San Francesco) in the middle of nature for a delicious aperitif included.

Today we are going to discover all the secrets related to one of the oldest traditions in our region: the truffle hunting. Umbria produces the highest number of black truffles in Italy and their quality is famous all over the world. Truffles are an integral part of Umbrian cuisine and culture and that of the truffle hunter, is a hard work made of deep love for the land, intelligent observation, waiting, and great satisfaction. We will take advantage of his wise guide, assisted by his four-legged scout, to learn the secrets of this noble tuber, through a naturalistic path of great beauty. The experience will end with a delicious lunch and tasting that will dissolve any doubt!

Umbria is also the region of ancient villages. After lunch, we will take you to discover one of these jewels, Rasiglia, the village of streams. The town, which preserves the typical characteristics of the medieval village by gathering in an amphitheater structure, is famous for its springs: walking through the suggestive alleys of the center, it is impossible not to be enchanted by the waterways that cross the town, making it unique and fascinating.

In the morning, we will take a visit to the Perugina Chocolate House, located inside the renowned Perugina Chocolate factory. A magic place to taste fine chocolate and enjoy a rich collection of pictures, labels, posters, gift boxes, and special old machines to produce the chocolate and its most famous product the bacio, meaning “kiss” in English.

After the sweet visit to the Perugina Chocolate House, we will head to the historical center of Perugia for the guided tour of the city. Perugia, the capital of Umbria, is worth visiting not only for the beauty of its hilltop setting, but also for its fine old buildings. Before it came under Roman rule, ancient Perusia was one of the twelve cities of the Etruscan federation, and considerable sections of the Etruscan walls, which extended for 2,800 meters around the town, have been preserved. Lunch at typical restaurant at the end of the guided tour.

Around 17:30 we will have a really fun and unforgettable experience full of adrenaline: KARTING ADVENTURE! This is an activity that allows you not only to show off your driving skills, but also your competitiveness! On board a very safe electric kart, we will do a 10-lap race with 5 minutes qualification, on an indoor track 550 meters long and 6 meters wide, with a bridge. Afterwards, we will go to the refreshment area to enjoy a delicious aperitif with specialties of our land and celebrate the winner.

After breakfast, we head to the Menotre valley, just 20 minutes away from Assisi. We will go to visit with a guide in a hermitage protected by the rugged rock, a sanctuary that leaves you speechless and from which you can enjoy a breathtaking view. Together with the guide, we will make a beautiful trekking experience of about 1 hour and a half where we will reach springs, waterfalls and caves. Together you will reach the village of Pale where a delicious lunch awaits you in a typical restaurant based on the specialties of our land.

After lunch we will reach Foligno, where you will have free time to visit and discover this beautiful town that is inexplicably underestimated when trip to Umbria is organized. Foligno is a beautiful, colorful, and lively town located in a "strategic" position in the center of Umbria. After entering the city walls, it will be natural to follow the ancient gates and walk along the main street of Foligno to the Duomo which has an unusual neoclassical-baroque style and is located in Piazza della Repubblica.

Around 17:30, we will reach a Foligno craft brewery for learning, thanks to the information of a guide, everything concerning the process of beer production from the selection of malts to the bottling and final fermentation phase. Delicious aperitif and tasting at the end of the experience.
