The spaces of the "Tesori d'Arte" Gallery in the splendid Complesso Monumentale of San Pietro in Perugia will be hosting an exhibition dedicated to Alberto Burri's Mixoblack works, until the 5th January.

The exhibition, which is one of the many events dedicated to the centenary of the artist's birth, has as its star attraction the series of ten Mixografia prints on handmade paper by the maestro in the last years of his working life.

The event was preceded by two days of reflection on the revolutionary work of the Umbrian artist, one of the most important figures of the Twentieth century, during which the new Catalogue of Works was presented.

The publication, in six volumes, brings together Burri's works between 1945 and 1994, covering a total of about 3000 works: colour plates, as well as historical, critical and aesthetic essays dedicated to Burri's complex and varied work.

Instead on the 18th December in the Sala delle Acque in Rocca Paolina in Perugia, is the presentation, following recent restoration work, of the "Grande Nero", the opera donated by the maestro to the city.

Exhibition opening times: Daily 10.00-12.00/15.00-18.00

Closed on the 8th, 24th, 25th, 26th December 2015 and on the 1st January 2016
