2017 Calendimaggio
Assisi, each year, celebrates the Calendimaggio on Thursday, Friday and Saturday following the 1st May, through a celebration and historical re-enactment taking place along the streets of St. Francis' town.
During the Calendimaggio's days, along the Assisi's alleys, you can relive the atmosphere of the typical medieval festival, among songs, music and carousels; the festival has ancient origins, dating back to the ancient tradition of the Umbrian population to greet the arrival of spring.
