The Nations Festival, that each year promotes and spreads out the musical culture of a specific nation, with the 2016 edition carries on his three-year project dedicated to the Big War.
After Austria, the France will be the guest country of this year, by continuing to pay attention to that crucial historical moment starting from the end of 1800 to the first two decades of 1900, when Paris became the reference city for arts and innovative research, by welcoming artists who will mark the passage from classicism to modernity.
Another aspect that the Festival will explore in its artistic calendar will be the relationship between France and overseas lands, areas once colonized with whom today it is still persisting an also cultural exchange nourished by reciprocal influences.
A lot of international guests are coming to Città di Castello: the piano duo of Katia and Marielle Labèque, the singer, composer and multi-instrumentalist Rokia Traoré, the violinist Renaud Capuçon, the French-Canadian pianist Louis Lortie, the Musica Nuda duo composed by Petra Magoni and Ferruccio Spinetti.
The complete program of concerts of the 49th edition of the Nations Festival will be available in the month of June 2016.
