The piazzas, streets and monuments of Orvieto reveal the connection that has always united art and faith in the town's long and ancient history, as the Duomo shows.

On one hand, the masterpieces of great artists like Beato Angelico and Luca Signorelli, on the other a past that recalls the spiritual vocation of the town on the rocky outcrop.

Orvieto has celebrated this connection since 2005 with the "Festival Arte e Fede", this year planned from the 28th November to the 8th December.

Ten days of exhibitions, shows, meetings and concerts dedicated to the pairing of art and faith, ranging from visual arts to cinema, from theatre to music, with artists and public figures of national and international acclaim. In past years festival guests have included Angelo Branduardi, Roberto Vecchioni, Massimo Cacciari, Franco Nero, Chris Akerlind and Michael Rogers, to mention a few.

The tenth edition is made even more significant by the Extraordinary Jubilee of Mercy launched by Pope Francis that will begin precisely on the 8th December, the last day of the festival.
