5 Days
5 days in the green Umbria from Spoleto to Assisi passing through Bevagna immersing ourself in a magnificent landscape among historical centres, medieval villages still intact, olive groves and vineyards where history, nature and culture blend together. 3 quite simple bike tours on gravel or paved roads little busy where day after day we’ll discover the beauty of this land rich in art, traditions, typical products and good eating. The Classic Tour is composed of half-day tours and it’s suitable for all those who love to take not so long rides discovering territories and villages without hurry having time to deepen and to understand all the beauty of this part of Umbria.
GENERAL DIFFICULTY LEVEL: EASY (the length of the 3 stages is about 25-40 km with ascending altitude differences between 300 and 600 metres).
BICYCLE TYPE: TOURING BIKE or MOUNTAIN BIKE (no road bike)Meeting at the airport or diredctly at the hotel if you’ll arrive by car and transfer to Foligno.
1st DAY: FOLIGNO
Meeting at the hotel at 3:00 pm. Gathering of cyclists. Briefing to speak about the tour to perform and explanation of the 3 stages we’ll do together. In the afternoon guided tour of Foligno’s historic centre. Dinner at the hotel. Overnight stay.

1 GIORNO
FOLIGNO Appuntamento in hotel alle ore 15:00. Raduno dei ciclisti. Briefing sul tour da effettuare e spiegazione delle 3 tappe che faremo insieme. Nel pomeriggio visita guidata del centro storico di Foligno. Cena in Hotel e Pernottamento.

2 GIORNO
FOLIGNO-BEVAGNA-FOLIGNO 27,8 Km – DISLIVELLO: salita 247 m.- discesa 247 m., 50% sterrato, 50% asfalto.
Partenza del tour alle 9:00. Il tour odierno ha un indice di difficoltà misurato su di una scala da 0 a 10 di 2 punti. Partiremo da Foligno seguendo il percorso del fiume Topino per poi deviare verso il Lago Aiso. Da qui ripartenza verso Bevagna per visitare uno dei borghi più belli d’Italia e per un pranzo leggero, poi rientro a Foligno. Anche il percorso odierno è molto semplice; solo pianura con qualche breve salita e discesa di tanto in tanto. Pranzo leggero a Bevagna, nel pomeriggio rientro a Foligno, cena e pernottamento in Hotel.

3 GIORNO
FOLIGNO-MONTEFALCO 34,3 Km – DISLIVELLO: salita 562 m. – discesa 323 m., 50% sterrato, 50% asfalto.
Partenza del tour alle 9:00. Il tour odierno ha un indice di difficoltà misurato su di una scala da 0 a 10 di 4 punti. Partiremo da Foligno e attraverso il paesaggio agrario tipico della Valle Umbra arriveremo fino al Santuario della Madonna della Stella. Da qui inizierà l’ascesa verso Montefalco, città d’arte e patria del Sagrantino, vino rosso ormai famoso in tutto il mondo. Pranzo leggero e degustazione dei vini di Montefalco presso la Cantina Le Cimate. Il percorso odierno è completamente pianeggiante fino al Santuario della Madonna della Stella. La salita verso Montefalco è di circa 8 Km e procede con un andamento regolare, senza strappi e con pendenze sempre attorno al 5-6% ad esclusione di due tratti di 200 m. circa al 9-10%. Arrivo a Montefalco, sistemazione in Hotel. Pomeriggio libero da dedicare alla visita della città o al relax. Cena e pernottamento in Hotel.

4 GIORNO
MONTEFALCO-CANNARA-SPELLO-ASSISI 39,5 Km – DISLIVELLO: salita 544 m. – discesa 614 m., 35% sterrato, 65% asfalto.
Partenza del tour alle 8:00. Il tour odierno ha un indice di difficoltà misurato su di una scala da 0 a 10 di 5 punti. Partiremo da Montefalco scendendo gradualmente su strade molto panoramiche. Proseguiremo poi pedalando in pianura fino a Cannara ed in particolare fino a Piandarca dove secondo la tradizione San Francesco d’Assisi tenne la Predica agli Uccelli. Da qui pedaleremo sempre in pianura fino a Spello, importante città di origini romane ricca di reperti archeologici e testimonianze di un glorioso passato. Pranzo leggero e degustazione in cantina. Da qui inizierà la salita verso Assisi (6 km con pendenze mai sopra il 10%). Il percorso odierno è di media difficoltà; discesa da Montefalco al piano, poi sempre in pianura fino a Spello passando per Cannara e Piandarca. Poi salita verso Assisi. Arrivo ad Assisi, sistemazione in Hotel. Nel pomeriggio visita guidata della città. Cena e pernottamento in Hotel.

Tutte le cose belle prima o poi finiscono ed è giunto il momento di salutarci. In mattinata effettueremo o il transfer verso l’Aeroporto o con i mezzi propri si inizierà il viaggio di ritornoFINE DEI NOSTRI SERVIZI.
