Francesco’s Ways, è costituito da quasi 150 aziende ricettive, ristorative e dei servizi a supporto dei Cammini. L’attività del Consorzio è di tipo promozionale, ma anche commerciale, tramite la creazione di pacchetti personalizzati

 Il Consorzio si occupa della promozione del territorio, finalizzata alla commercializzazione di prodotti turistici nell’ambito del pellegrinaggio e del turismo religioso e dei Cammini. La sinergia delle numerose strutture ricettive, attività ristorative e dei fornitori di servizi posizionati lungo i Cammini immette sul mercato un’offerta completa e diversificata, capace di soddisfare le molteplici esigenze dei clienti. Il Consorzio si propone anche di migliorare l'immagine del territorio, di promuovere azioni di tutela, e di sviluppare la qualità dei servizi di ospitalità. Promuovendo e commercializzando sul mercato l'offerta turistica religiosa e dei Cammini, si offre come punto di riferimento per gli operatori turistici della domanda sia italiana che estera.

What is included
Lodging (double, twin or single room) with breakfast and dinner. Pilgrim’s welcome kit (knapsack or t-shirt and printed guide). On request, receive a Pilgrim’s Credential.

Pre-established groups can request custom quotations and personalized itineraries. Luggage transfer from structure to structure. Light lunch. Bike/person transfers. Bike hire. Insurance.
Program
7 Days A journey to discover places from the life of St. Francis, starting from La Verna and passing through charming, typically Umbrian villages, and on to Assisi. A medium-difficult route, to take by street bicycle or with a hybrid bike. The route is almost entirely on asphalt, with plenty of hills, and riders should have a good level of conditioning and some experience.

On the first day, arrive in La Verna with time to visit the beautiful town, dinner and overnight at the hotel.

Day 2

In the morning, set off from La Verna toward Pieve Santo Stefano and on to Citerna for the night. 49.5 km

Day 3

The third day starts in Citerna, continues to Lerchi and then after 13 km, arrival at Città di Castello. We suggest visiting the town before starting the climb to Pieve de’ Saddi, (more than 10% grade in places). When you reach the top, visit the church and catch your breath, then continue on to Pietralunga for dinner and overnight. 46.2 km

Day 4

The fourth day starts in piazza 7 Maggio in the centre of Pietralunga. Pedal uphill following the signs San Benedetto Vecchio. From there, continue to Mocaiana and then Fontanelle and finally to Gubbio, for dinner and overnight. 26.8 km total

Day 5

The fifth day starts from the parking lot of the Roman amphitheatre in Gubbio and passes the Church of the Vittorina, where St. Francis met the wolf. The route follows the Perugia-Assis Franciscan Path of Peace. Continue straight on at Ponte d’Assi, passing the Vallingegno abbey, the castle of Biscina, Valfabbrica Pianello, Ripa, Civitella d’Arna, Ponte Valleceppi, Pretola and finally Perugia, for dinner and overnight. 64.8 km total.

Day 6

The sixth day starts at Perugia’s piazza IV Novembre. Head toward Civitella d’Arna and then S. Egidio, Bastiola, Bastia Umbra, Santa Maria degli Angeli and Assisi, for dinner and overnight. 29.5 km.
