La sinergia delle numerose strutture ricettive, attività ristorative e dei fornitori di servizi posizionati lungo i Cammini immette sul mercato un’offerta completa e diversificata, capace di soddisfare le molteplici esigenze dei clienti. Il Consorzio si propone anche di migliorare l'immagine del territorio, di promuovere azioni di tutela, e di sviluppare la qualità dei servizi di ospitalità. Promuovendo e commercializzando sul mercato l'offerta turistica religiosa e dei Cammini, si offre come punto di riferimento per gli operatori turistici della domanda sia italiana che estera.

Program

7 Days

A journey to discover the places of the life of Francis, starting from La Verna and passing through the most beautiful and characteristic villages of Umbria until arriving in Assisi. A route of medium difficulty, to be covered with road or hybrid bikes. The route is almost exclusively on asphalt, but there is no lack of gradients, so a good level of fitness and a little experience is recommended.

Day 1

On the first day we arrive in La Verna in time to visit the town and its sights, dinner and overnight stay in the facility

Day 2

In the morning, set off from La Verna toward Pieve Santo Stefano and on to Citerna for the night. 49.5 km

Day 3

On the third day, we leave from the centre of Citerna, continue to Lerchi and arrive after 13 kilometres at Città di Castello. We recommend a visit to the town before beginning the climb to Pieve de' Saddi, (stretches over 10%), having reached the top we recommend a visit to the church also to rest a little. We continue on to Pietralunga, dinner and overnight stay. km 46.2

Day 4

On the fourth day, we start from Piazza 7 Maggio in the centre of Pietralunga. We continue uphill following the signs for San Benedetto Vecchio. We continue on to Mocaiana and then Fontanelle until we reach Gubbio, dinner and overnight stay. Total kilometres 26.8.

Day 5

The fifth day starts from the parking lot of the Roman amphitheatre in Gubbio and passes the Church of the Vittorina, where St. Francis met the wolf. The route follows the Perugia-Assis Franciscan Path of Peace. Continue straight on at Ponte d’Assi, passing the Vallingegno abbey, the castle of Biscina, Valfabbrica Pianello, Ripa, Civitella d’Arna, Ponte Valleceppi, Pretola and finally Perugia, for dinner and overnight. 64.8 km total.

Day 6

On the sixth day we depart from Perugia piazza IV Novembre. We continue to Civitella d'Arna then S. Egidio, Bastiola, Bastia Umbra, Santa Maria degli Angeli and Assisi, dinner and overnight stay. Total kilometres stage 29.5.

Day 7

Last day dedicated to the city of Assisi and return.
