Having passed the junction on the left for Pontecuti, which should not be taken, turn right and follow the signs for Quadro, Titignano and Prodo (old road to Orvieto). Having passed the village of Quadro, continue in the direction of Orvieto, ignoring the forks on the left for Casemasce and Titignano as far as the castle of Prodo). 9:30 a.m. - Start of the excursion. The route takes us all around one of the most beautiful canyons in Italy, the Campione ditch or Prodo torrent, to which we will look out with suggestive panoramic views, as it can only be descended with a wetsuit and ropes. We will walk along ancient paths made by charcoal burners to reach even the most hidden and inaccessible corners of the forest, finally reaching the exit of the gorge where we can refresh ourselves in the crystal-clear pools carved by the water into the mountain rock. Finally, crossing the lands that once belonged to the Marquis Misciattelli, we will reach the ruins of Castel di Ripe, from where there is a breathtaking view of Prodo Castle. 13:00 / 14:00 - Return to Prodo and end of excursion.
