Narni is a town in Umbria perched on a hill overlooking the Nera valley, a tributary of the Tiber. We will walk through the district that climbs towards the 14th-century Rocca, with narrow streets of medieval appearance, visit the beautiful church of S. Margherita, and then head to the centre where the Duomo stands. Inside is the sacellum of St. Juvenal (6th century AD). We continue to the Church of St. Francis and arrive at the square where the medieval public buildings stand. We will admire the Romanesque sculptures of the small church of S.Maria in Pensole and finally look out over a magnificent panorama: the wild, narrow valley at the bottom of which the Nera flows.
