The Perugino in the Lands of Oil and Sagrantino: September events in Montefalco and Trevi
To celebrate the 500th anniversary of Perugino's death, the Unione dei Comuni Terre dell'Olio e del Sagrantino (Union of Municipalities of the Lands of Olive Oil and Sagrantino) presents a series of free appointments in Montefalco and Trevi for the entire month of September with guided tours, urban trekking itineraries, performances in museums dedicated to families. During the event, two tourist publications on Perugino in Montefalco and Trevi will be presented.
The event "Il Perugino. Montefalco and Trevi" will be held from 3 to 30 September 2023 with focuses dedicated to the places that preserve works by the divin painter in the two cities: the San Francesco Museum Complex in Montefalco and the Church of the Madonna delle Lacrime in Trevi.
The programme includes events and shows of a touristic and cultural nature for all ages, to rediscover and enhance historical places and local typicalities. Guided tours and urban trekking itineraries will lead from the works of Perugino, and local masters inspired and trained by the great Maestro, to the discovery of the territory, landscape and artistic heritage offered by the two villages.
