Sei Personaggi in cerca di Followers
At the Oasi Battifoglia in Località Paradiso 33, Assisi, the sixteenth edition of the summer residency Io Non Parlo Sono Parlato takes place. Within this context, Sei Personaggi in cerca di Followers is born — a theatrical study freely inspired by Luigi Pirandello’s masterpiece, to be presented to the public on Friday, August 1st at 8:45 p.m., with an open rehearsal in the morning at 11:30 a.m.
The performance explores the theme of identity with a contemporary lens, bringing Pirandello’s universe into the era of social media. The stage becomes a space for reflection on self-construction: are we truly authors of our own lives, or merely characters in search of approval? In a world where relationships are fueled by visibility and digital filters, the performance invites the audience to examine the masks we wear.
The evening show will take place outdoors, surrounded by torches and nature, enhancing the Umbrian landscape as a living, immersive backdrop. In the morning, at the Piccolo Teatro degli Instabili in Assisi, the audience can attend an open rehearsal that reveals the dramaturgical work and scenic construction process, offering a behind-the-scenes look into the creation.
