Isola Prossima 2024
This year, Isola Prossima returns, the cultural festival by ARPA Umbria scheduled for August 30th and 31st. Organized in collaboration with Umbria Green Festival and supported by AURI Umbria through the "La Via dell’Acqua" project, the Auditorium of San Francesco al Prato in Perugia will host the Fabbrica del Mondo meetings as a preview, focusing on the importance of the water system and environmental sustainability.
On August 30th and 31st, the Congress Center in Perugia will host two days of festival previews with guests such as Marco Paolini, Federico Taddia, and Elisa Palazzi discussing the theme of water.
On September 11th at 9:30 AM, Isola Prossima will kick off with the conference "By-products: Tools and Business Cases" at the Auditorium of San Francesco al Prato. This event will focus on circular economy and sustainability, addressing the topic of by-products and industrial symbiosis comprehensively.
On September 12th at 7:30 PM, at the Sala dei Notari, Massimo Polidoro will present a lecture based on his latest book.
On September 13th, at the Teatro Manini in Narni, Valerio Aprea will stage "In Aspettando l’apocalisse", a comedic performance written by Marco Dambrosio. The show uses comedy and absurdity to tackle and attempt to avert the looming threat of the apocalypse, offering a hyperbolic perspective on our resilience and our difficulty in adapting to the new.
On September 14th, at the Teatro della Sapienza in Perugia, Chiara Alessi will present a lecture-recital on 20th-century Italy, starting from everyday objects.
Finally, on October 15th, at the Auditorium San Domenico in Foligno, the Pop Economix Association, with Alberto Pagliarino, will present "Blue Revolution – The Economy in the Age of Disposable", a performance that explores the environmental crisis and the need for a new balance between humans and the environment.
