Gecko Fest 2024 Rabdomànzia
The sixth edition of Gecko, a festival embracing themes of sustainability and the relationship between man and the environment, will be held on 6, 7 and 8 September in Spina, on 13 in Norcia, on 14 in Perugia and on 15 in Bettona, with a programme of 18 events that will unfold between theatre, science, art, meetings, music and trekking routes.
This year the theme of the Festival will be "Rhabdomànzia", with the accent deliberately misplaced, a metaphor for the discovery of a different way of being in the world, more just, more supportive, more inclusive. And a search for the creative source, where the artist through his work becomes an instrument of collective participation and storytelling of the contemporary.
It will begin on Friday 6 September, at Piazzetta della Libertà, in Spina, with "Il destino di una goccia d'acqua" (The destiny of a drop of water), an informative show with explorer Yanez Borella, and with "E la vita bussò" (And life knocked), a concert by Mario Lavezzi and Cristina di Pietro.
On Saturday 7 September, in the same location, visitors will be able to take part in the multimedia theatre show 'Antarctica. Un inverno particolare", with Chiara Montanari, Patrizia Aroldi, Matteo Giudici. Directed by Marco Rampoldi, and the screening of Francesco De Augustinis' documentary "Until the end of the World".
Next, on 8 September, 'Sounds of Water', with games and music for children, will be offered at Spina Castle.
On 13 September, it will be the turn of "Animato Concerto", a multimedia concert by Andrea Rellini, animations by Giada Fuccelli at Piazza San Benedetto in Norcia, on 14 September "The Healing Sax", a concert by Dimitri Grechi Espinoza - sax solo at the Basilica di San Pietro in Perugia and, to finish, on Sunday 15 September "Piano Essence", a concert by Alessandra Celletti - piano solo, in Bettona, at Villa del Boccaglione.
