From 15 to 20 August 2024 the second edition of DeMusicAssisi, Umbria's first medieval music festival, will be held in the historic centre of Assisi.
More than twenty appointments will be offered in various locations, with concerts, musicological conferences, meetings with historians, didactics, workshops, an exhibition market dedicated to ancient instruments and the art of luthiers, travelling shows, flash mobs, and medieval music DJ sets.
The aim of the event will be to make the fascination and emotion of medieval music ‘pop’ and make it known to everyone, starting from a place where the Middle Ages can be breathed in the alleys and squares.
This year's theme will be ‘Lauda’, or devotional music also linked to the medieval movement of the Confraternities, in the sign of the Franciscan centenaries 2023-2026. Artists from all over the world will be present at the now increasingly open and international festival, with musicians and researchers from England, France, Switzerland, Italy, Syria, Austria, the United States and Belgium. 
In this way Assisi will become a sort of world capital of medieval music.
The initiatives will be free admission with compulsory booking.
