Corpus Domini in Umbria - On the Romea Germanic Road
“On the Romea Germanic Road” will be an itinerary among trekking, performances and cultural visits, a path of art and tradition taking place among the green Umbrian hills, through medieval villages and the historical-religious re-enactments.
From Castiglione del Lago to Orvieto, through Paciano, Città della Pieve, Ficulle and Porano: five days in the uncontaminated nature of the Italian Green Heart, that will end on Sunday 18th June with celebrations of the Corpus Domini, a very ancient event, rich in meaning, rooted in the far 1264 and culminating in the spectacular procession in period costumes along the streets of the historical centre.
Don’t miss out on the night walk from Bolsena to Orvieto, about 18 km long among olives and woods along the paved road of the ancient Etruscan road.
