Biennale di Grafica Contemporanea Premio Diego Donati 2018

Biennial Exhibition of Contemporary Graphics

The 2018 edition of the "Diego Donati Prize" Biennial of Contemporary Graphics is starting on 6th December. The Civic Museum in Palazzo della Penna of Perugia is going to display until 13th January artworks by young artists and established masters in the art of engraving

The leitmotif of the Biennial's fifth edition will be "Continuity", that is, how engraving techniques have evolved over time "by interpreting the signs of time".

About 100 artworks created by 55 artists are going to participate in the competition, dedicated to the memory of Don Diego Donati and his work of dissemination of graphic art, in the name of refinement and mastery of different engraving techniques.

Not only that: alongside the artworks of young emerging artists, visitors will be able to admire the artworks, out of competition, of many master engravers, artists now established in this ancient but still current artistic discipline. The exhibition will include authors such as Ermes Bajoni, Pilar Dominguez, Maurizio Sicchier, Cyntia Davis, Calisto Gritti, and many other Italian and international artists, with the aim to celebrate the techniques of engraving, and the important role they played in the history of art and contemporary art

Opening hours: 10 am - 6 pm

Closed on Mondays, 25th December 2018 and 1st January 2019

Entrance fee: full price € 6; Reduced A € 3, Reduced B € 2
