Bajoni and Zamboni - The eloquent plots of silence
The exhibition is a bi-personal one of Ermes Bajoni and Roberta Zamboni entitled “Bajoni and Zamboni - The eloquent plots of silence” open from the 3rd to the 30th June 2017.
The exhibition presents the artworks of two masters engravers from Ravenna: Ermes Bajoni was born in 1941 in Bagnacavallo where he currently lives and has its studio. In the first 1960s he moved to Bologna to get a degree in mathematics and physics. He started at the same time to work first as graphic artist and only later as painter. Starting from 1988 he got particularly interested in the engraving style and produced, up to now, about 200 chalcographic sheets.
Roberta Zamboni was born in 1964 in Ravenna, she took a diploma at the Art High School and later he specialized in Advertising Technique. Since 2000 he has been focusing on the engraving art, by privileging the technique of drypoint and etching as well as the topics linked to the environment and society. Her exhibition activity started in 2006 with a series of collective exhibitions; in 2007 he participated in the G. Polanski Third Biennial of Engraving and was selected for the Italo Grandi Award. In 2008 he participated in the Fifth International Biennial of Graphic Art in San Carles de la Ràpita in Spain, in the First International Printmaking Biennial in Istanbul, in the Fifth International Biennial of Graphic Art in Francavilla al Mare and in the Third Three-Year International Event of Engraving in the town di Chieri. The following year, he won the Special Prize for the 9th International Biennial for engraving in Acqui Terme and participated in the “ed Ex libris” Graphic Festival in Casale Monferrato.
