Assisi OnLive 2020
In this particular year that we will remember for a long time, the arrival of summer 2020 is characterized by a timid but inexorable desire for freedom.
Starting from the assumption that the re-appropriation of social spaces cannot take place without culture, the main associations of the area have come together and decided to create a network and work synergistically so that, in the months of August and September, art finally returns to Assisi through a live interaction with the public.
All together with the support of and in co-organization with the Municipality of Assisi, the Musical Chapel of the Papal Basilica of Saint Francis, the Piccolo Teatro degli Instabili, the Riverock Cultural Association, the Umbrian Association for Song and Music of Singer-songwriters and the Zona Franca Cultural Association have thus planned to give life to Assisi OnLive, summer itineraries through music of singer-songwriters, theatre and literature that will be staged from 8 August to 17 September in the seraphic capital, with a heterogeneous programme aimed at satisfy the different tastes of the public.
On 6 September, at 8.30, a literary walk with Gabriella Genisi in the surroundings of Mount Subasio. During the excursion, the writer will confront Anna Maria Romano about her latest book "I quattro cantoni" and the intriguing protagonist, Commissioner Lolita Lobosco. Event in collaboration with the Clizia Cultural Association.
On the same day in the Piazzale della Rocca Maggiore, at 6.00 pm, Vasco Brondi returns to perform live with a show born in these very particular and complicated months. As talismans for uncertain times: songs, poems, reflections and sonatas for piano, cello and solo guitars. Andrea Faccioli (guitar), Daniela Savoldi (cello) and Angelo Trabace (piano) will accompany the artist on stage.
On September 13 in the Pro Civitate Christiana Amphitheater, at 9.15 pm, a celebrated protagonist of the national rock scene such as Cristiano Godano will tell the origins of his historic band that is Marlene Kuntz. In the 90s, this band was among the first to propose a convincing Italian way to the electric urban rock of American derivation. The event will be an opportunity to listen to pieces of Marlene Kuntz's history and the new songs from the latest solo work of Cristiano Godano.
In the Pro Civitate Christiana Amphitheater, on 17 September at 9.15 pm, the writer Franco Arminio presents La cura dello sguardo. Nuova farmacia poetica.
