It is the ring of Alta Valnerina that from Spoleto allows you to reach the centers affected by the recent seismic event such as Monteleone di Spoleto, Cascia, Norcia, Preci.
A very beautiful route with enchanting landscapes that cross a very varied nature, indifferent to the effects of the earthquake. To reach these centers you do not cover the valley floor but you prefer secondary roads. Thus from Spoleto to Sant'Anatolia di Narco the Forca di Cerro pass is approached along a road parallel to the route of the famous former Spoleto Norcia Railway (now a cycle track on a dirt road not suitable for racing bikes). From Sant'Anatolia, Caso-Gavelli is tackled, one of the mythical climbs of Valnerina, inserted several times in the stages of the Adriatic Tirreno and the Giro d'Italia. To reach the other centers you must necessarily face other climbs, less demanding but equally beautiful for the landscapes that you cross.
The route is particularly challenging but, divided into stages, it becomes accessible even to the less trained not looking for performance but the widespread beauty present in this part of Umbria. TOT. 199 Km - DISL. 3176 Mt
