The 16th edition of the Umbria World Festival, from the 13th to the 15th October, is focused on a highly current topic that animates discussions not just on photography but also in the everyday life: the “Post-truth”.

The term “Post-truth” has been declared world of the year 2016 by the Oxford Dictionary: through the works of the photographers exhibiting at the Trinci Palace and the open meetings at the Candiotti Palace, the goal is exploring at best the role played in this moment by photography in the information’s dynamics of the Net era, an epoch when distinguishing real from imaginary has become difficult.

For three days the town of Foligno in its two historical buildings, Trinci and Candiotti, is going to become the stage for exhibitions, concerts, meetings and debates among the Festival’s artists and participants.

This year’s programme also dedicates considerable space to music with a schedule full of previews and experimentation.

Exhibitions are open until the 12th November.
