UBI TU IBI EGO exhibition
From 2 to 30 March, the Centro d'arte Contemporanea dell'antica Fornace Grazia in Deruta (PG) will host a group art exhibition entitled ‘UBI TU IBI EGO’.
The title of the exhibition takes its cue from the contracted formula of ‘Ubi tu Gaius, ibi ego Gaia’ (Where you will be I will be there) that was pronounced by the bride and groom during the marriage rite in ancient Rome. A hymn to love.
In the context of a contemporary exhibition, this ancient formula is reinterpreted to explore themes of connection, identity and reciprocity. The works will reflect on how human relationships are strongly intertwined and motivated by love and how individual identity is defined through the other.
The authors on display include: Adelas, Roberto Fabio Brucci, Maria Daloiso, Mario Mendozza, Marina Parentela, Andrea Pesciaioli, Eugenia Serafiini, Maurizio Schachter Conte and many others.
