It is one of the most important fairs in Perugia and is intrinsically linked to the town's identity: the Fiera dei Morti, from the 1st to the 5th November in Pian di Massiano, Piazza del Bacio and Perugia's historic town centre.

Its roots date back to medieval times when it was a moment of trade, in view of the cold season, both for agricultural products and livestock, allowing people to get supplies before the arrival of winter.

Today the fair hosts more than 500 stands, selling a vast array of products: leather goods, clothing, household goods, handicraft products, books, music and many Umbrian culinary specialities as well as those from the towns twinned with Perugia.

Five days surrounded by the colours, flavours and smells of autumn where even the youngest members of the family can enjoy themselves: next to the fair, is a funfair, with rides and games to suit all tastes and ages.
